A roundup of product changes ranging from new framework support, to an improved developer console for your productivity.

Layer0 Updates

New Frameworks Support

At Layer0, we are committed to making our platform framework-agnostic. This is our way of making sure no one is left out of the amazing features our platform offers. To that end, we’ve added support for more frameworks, yet again. And some might even surprise you.

WordPress support

Wordpress

Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? We’ve added support for the Frontity framework, the lightning fast React framework for WordPress. Frontity brings the CMS powering a whopping 40% of the internet into the Headless era. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Nx and Ember Fastboot

Nx and Ember Fastboot

We recently added support for Nx and Ember Fastboot. Even though Layer0 can work with any framework, we continue to expand the tools that have pre-built integrations so you can get your project up and running quickly with less config.

Update to the Developer Console

Your website might be somewhere on the Layer0 cloud living happily ever after, serving millions of users with instant site page loads, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have valuable insights into the fairy world. We host it for you, but we don’t hide it from you.

The developer console has a number of improvements to help you be more productive and gain more metadata of your website(s) we think will improve your developer experience.

Improved Overview Screen

Layer0 overview screen

We’ve made the power of Layer0 easier to manage with an improved Overview screen that summarizes the health of your project at a glance including Core Web Vitals, Traffic, Errors, Cache Hit Rate, Prefetching statistics, and Recent Activity. Now you can have the required valuable insights at your fingertips.

Synchronized Tooltips on Graphs

Synchronized tooltips on Layer0

We’ve synchronized tooltips across graphs on the same screen. For example, when hovering over your Cache Hit Rate graph in the Overview tab, you’ll also get the tooltip for the same date in the Traffic graph. This not only makes it easier to correlate information across multiple metrics in Layer0, but also puts synchronized insights front and center for your perusal.

Free automatic SSL Certificates

Automatic SSL certificates

Layer0 can generate SSL Certificates on your behalf using Let's Encrypt. Certificates are free, valid for three months, and are automatically renewed. Go here for more information.

28 Days Later...

Core Web Vitals 28-day rolling average

Google’s Chrome User Experience report uses a 28-day rolling average to compute your Core Web Vitals. We’ve adjusted the 1-month long date range in our Core Web Vitals Analytics feature to 28 days to match how Google reports this data. This means you will have your Core Web Vitals report faster and can act on them in real time to improve your website or web application (should you need to) for a better user experience.

Your site doesn't need to be hosted on Layer0 to take advantage of these analytics. It's yours with just a script tag.
